President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has addressed a condolence letter to His Majesty Naruhito, the Emperor of Japan, over the severe flooding in Southern Japan, AzVision.az reports.
“I was deeply saddened to learn that torrential rains in southern Japan caused widespread flooding and mudslides, prompting thousands of people to evacuate their homes, and have claimed the lives of nearly 40 Japanese citizens.
I share your sorrow for this tragic event and on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan extend our deepest condolences to Your Majesty, the people of your country and families and friends of the victims,” the letter says.
