  U.S. urges Armenia, Azerbaijan to re-establish a meaningful dialogue

US Department of State urges Armenia and Azerbaijan to de-escalate immediately and re-establish a meaningful dialogue, Michael Pompeo, Secretary Of State said, according to the US Department of State press office.

He made the statement on July 15, 2020 while giving press comments.

“In the Caucasus region, the United States is deeply concerned about the recent deadly violence along the Armenia-Azerbaijan international border. We offer our condolences to all of the victims. We urge the sides to de-escalate immediately and re-establish a meaningful dialogue and a ceasefire to resume substantive negotiations with the Minsk Group as co-chairs,” he said.
