Thousands of young men were registered for the mobilisation at the local offices, departments and units of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijanis to serve in the army voluntarily following the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's comment on military mobilisation, AzVision.az reports.
“If any patriotic citizen wants to voluntarily serve in the army, I would highly appreciate it,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his speech at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of socio-economic development in the first half of 2020 and the tasks ahead on July 15.
The State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijanis thanked the citizens for showing their patriotism.
"The territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan is protected by the Azerbaijani Army. If it is necessary, reservists may be called up to the Service’s local structural units and involved in appropriate measures to ensure the defense of the country and the security of the state under the requirements of existing legislation”, the State Service added.
