I was deeply concerned about Serbia

I was deeply concerned about Serbia's arms sale to Armenia, Former Serbian Ambassador in Azerbaijan Zoran Vayovic made remarks in an exclusive interview to AzVision.

Vayovic noted that although he has not worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the state structure since 2014, he regularly follows the events.

"I have deep concerns. I do hope for the restoration of trust and mutual understanding, as well as friendly relations and sincere strategic partnership. During my tenure as an ambassador, I worked by using all my energy, knowledge and experience," the former ambassador also noted.

Note, Zoran Vayovic worked as Serbia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan in 2011-14.

Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov spoke of launching an investigation on Serbia's arms sale to Armenia at a briefing held last week. It was noted that the arms sold by Serbian companies to Armenia were used against Azerbaijan in Tovuz.
