Ceasefire is not the solution to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict - Azerbaijan

Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan's meeting with the so-called 'minister' of the illegal regime established by Armenia in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan is another provocative step of the country. It is clear that holding a meeting with the so-called organization is nothing but self-deception, Azerbaijani MFA Spokesperson Leyla Abdullayeva said, AzVision.az reports.

"The ceasefire is not a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It aims to eliminate the main consequences of the conflict and in particular, to lay the groundwork for the comprehensive and substantive talks to require the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan”, Leyla Abdullayev stated while commenting on the the issue of de-escalation and complying with a ceasefire.

"Ceasefire mechanisms must be considered as a technical issue in the context of the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azerbaijani territories. If Armenia really wants to achieve peace, then it must put an end to the illegal presence of the Armenian Armed Forces in the territories of Azerbaijan," she added.
