"Azerbaijani army is carrying out defensive operations on its own territory," said Hikmat Hajiyev.
“The aim is to protect the civilian population, to persuade the invaders to peace. In its policy pursued so far, Armenia has aimed to destroy the negotiation process and achieved it. Armenia commits military and political provocations in order not to leave the occupied territories. This is another attempt at aggression against Azerbaijan, a threat by force."
