"The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker will visit Turkey to discuss the situation in the Caucasus", press service of the State Department made the statement, AzVision.az reports citing foreign media outlets.
Philip Reeker will be on an official visit to Ankara and Istanbul on October 3-5.
During the visit, Reeker will discuss with Turkish officials the development of US relations with the NATO ally, including the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Caucasus (the situation in Karabakh).
No further details provided on the agenda of the visit.
