Former Ukrainian president and his Lady send letter to Ilham Aliyev

Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko ( 2005-2010), member of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center and former First Lady of Ukraine ( 2005-2010), member of the Board of Trustees of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center Katerina Yushchenko sent a letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, AzVision.az reports.

The letter reads as follows:

“We are currently following the situation in Azerbaijan with great concern. We are worried about the civilian casualties in the historic and important city of Ganja.

We are well aware of the frustration of your country which was subjected to occupation by outside forces grossly violating international law and the failure of international organizations which have not responded to this occupation.

Mr. President, we stand with you as members of the Board of Trustees of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. We are closely working with our co-chairs and Secretary-General to coordinate the necessary efforts to raise awareness on this issue.

We pray for your country and your people. "
