  Presidential Aide spoke of security of gas-oil pipelines

We do not see the necessity for any third party to be involved in ensuring the security of the pipelines, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev said. 

Presidential Aide Hikmet Hajiyev made the statement answering question about the possibility of involving NATO or other international organizations in the security of oil and gas pipelines passing through the territory of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani presidential aide meets with Turkish FM

Hajiyev said that the Republic of Azerbaijan ensures the security of oil and gas projects of international importance within its capabilities:

"However, Azerbaijan is also exchanging views with its partners and leading companies participating in the project on strengthening the security of these infrastructures. However, we do not see the necessity for any third party to be involved in ensuring security."
