Azerbaijani Bar Association appeals to its International Colleagues regarding Armenian provocations

In response to the provocations committed by the Armenian armed forces against the civilian population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on September 27, the counter-offensive operation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan goes on as the occupied territories are being liberated from the enemy.

During this period, by violating international humanitarian law, Armenian armed forces, purposefully fired densely populated Azerbaijani settlements, civilian facilities and strategic energy infrastructure from the territory of the Republic of Armenia and caused severe damage. They have used prohibited weapons and ammunition in the conflict involving terrorist groups from different parts of the world. Besides, a twice-agreed and declared humanitarian ceasefire was violated by Armenian armed forces.

The Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan addressed a legally and factually substantiated report to more than 150 international organizations, including international human rights organizations, foreign bar associations and legal societies, to assess the war crimes committed by the Republic of Armenia and strongly condemn these actions.

In addition, the response of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the allegations made by international media representatives and officials of the Republic of Armenia was attached to the appeal.

The appeal is presented to the public in 3 languages. You can read the full appeal HERE
