Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan does not target civilians and civilian objects - Hajiyev

Armenia continues to commit terrorism and war crimes against Azerbaijani civilians, especially children and teenagers at the state level, said Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, AzVision.az reports.

As reported earlier by the Prosecutor General's Office, today Ismayilzade Orkhan Rahbar, born in 2004, was killed as a result of Smerch missiles fired at Tartar region and villages

Mayakov Artur Vladimirovich, a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 2007, today died in the hospital despite the efforts of doctors. He was seriously wounded on Oct 17 after Armenia's SCUD missile strike to Ganja. He was a guest at his Auntie.

He will be buried in accordance with Orthodox Christian traditions with the support of the Ganja City Executive Power and the Alexander Nevsky Church in Ganja. The Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan was informed about it through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Currently, the Armenian armed forces continue to fire on Azerbaijani cities on the front line using heavy artillery and other weapons.

Unlike Armenia, Azerbaijan does not target civilians and civilian objects. Azerbaijan seriously adheres to the requirements of international humanitarian law, such as military necessity, legitimate military goals and proportionality of response. As reported by the foreign journalists in Khankendi, the Armenian side uses terrorist tactics by placing firing points inside and near civilian facilities. We call on civilians living in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan to stay away from military facilities. As noted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has nothing to do with the Armenian civilian population. We are ready to provide all humanitarian assistance and support to civilians and servicemen wishing to cross to the Azerbaijani side.

The political and military leadership of Armenia bears full responsibility for the war crimes committed against civilians.
