On November 2, 2020 ANAMA's demining group's deminer, Zeynalov Telman, born in 1967, was blown on an anti-personnel mine (PMN-Э) placed by the Armenian military forces during a demining operation in Jabrayil region, ANAMA's press service reports. As a result of the explosion, traumatic amputation was executed on his left leg from the ankle.
The Prosecutor's Office immediately carried out scene investigation activities. Criminal proceedings were instituted by the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan under Article 100.2 (planning, preparation, starting or conducting aggressive war), 116.0.6 (violation of international humanitarian law during an armed conflict) and other articles of the Criminal Code.
Currently, intensive investigation measures are underway.
