As reported earlier, the building of the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkov (Ukraine), was fired at. The incident occurred at around 02:30 local time on Nov. 7. Two unidentified men shot at the building of the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkov six times. This was recorded by an outdoor video surveillance camera. At that time, there was no one in the consulate.

It is obvious that the incident has historical roots. Since the beginning of the escalations in Karabakh, there have been acts of hooliganism against Azerbaijan's Honorary Consulate, Honorary Consul of Azerbaijan in Kharkov Afgan Salmanov told AzerTag.

Insulting actions were observed during various events in the past. Similar actions have increased especially after the erection of a memorial plaque to those killed in Ganja on the wall of the building of Azerbaijan's Honorary Consulate.

The Honorary Consul said: “However, we could not imagine that Armenians would take up arms in Ukraine. Involving Ukraine in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is a disgrace and a crime. Such actions are not within hooliganism, since it has other motives. I openly state: It is not easy to frighten us! Azerbaijanis struggle for the matter of justice - liberate their lands and do not bestow hand on others' lands."
