On November 11, eight more planes carrying Russian peacekeepers headed to Yerevan to bolster truce in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, AzVision.az reports citing the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
More than 120 servicemen, armored personnel carriers, trucks and logistics equipment were sent to Yerevan by Il-76 and Antonov-12 planes.
"Regular contacts have been established with the headquarters of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Armed Forces through direct channels to carry out peacekeeping missions, prevent possible incidents and ensure the safety of Russian servicemen," the Ministry noted.
