He said a 101.5-kilometer road of the technical category is planned to be built at the first stage.
“The road will consist of a total of six lanes, four main and two side ones. It will be possible to go to Shusha through several settlements, including Fuzuli city,” Najafli noted.
According to the spokesman, the beginning of the road is Ahmadbeyli village of Fuzuli district.
Najafli noted that the work in the direction of Kalbajar, Aghdam and Lachin will be carried out in accordance with the Azerbaijani President’s instructions.
The spokesman added that roads in all liberated settlements will be built and reconstructed.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday signed an Order to provide funding for the design and construction of Ahmadbayli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway.
Under the presidential Order, the Azerbaijan Highway State Agency is initially allocated 50 million manats for the construction of the 101.5km-long highway.
