Information about wounded mlitary servicemen in Shirvan hospital is false - TABIB

The information circulated in social networks and some media about the wounded military servicemen treated in the Shirvan City Central Hospital, who is reportedly unconscious, isn’t true, Deputy Head of the Disease Control and Prevention Department of the Association for Management of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) Aygun Aliyeva told AzVision.az on Nov.19.

According to Aliyeva, currently, the servicemen who were wounded during the combat operations for liberating occupied territories are being examined and treated in the hospital. However, they have no memory problems. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has limited the ability to meet with relatives, the servicemen are in contact with them by phone.

"Once again, we call on the media spreading such unfounded information to comply with the provisions of the Azerbaijani Law on Media, and users of social networks to show civic responsibility. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating this issue," she added.
