French Senate openly support separatism in Karabakh

Since the beginning of the Second Karabakh War, France has been pursuing the interests of the Armenians and supporting aggression and separatism.

Following the Office of Mayor of Paris, the French Senate is now getting ready to support the separatists. Therefore, on November 25, the Senate is going to discuss a resolution recommending the French state to recognize the so-called republic in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

However, under Article 34-1 of the French Constitution, this is only a resolution, the implementation of it is not mandatory. There are hundreds of initiatives put forward every year on this issue, but most of them are not even discussed.

However, the draft resolution is based on lobbying which indicates the need to recognize the so-called republic in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Undoubtedly, this is another provocation committed as a result of the serious efforts of the Armenian lobby. In this regard, the Armenian lobby is trying to realize its claims by the help of influential French politicians and MPs.

In fact, the Senate is not the institution that has the final say in determining France's foreign policy, and resolutions can only be put to a vote if the government allows it. The Senate's schedule also includes the heading "acceptable", which does not indicate the need for its adoption.

The fact that almost all of the initiators of the resolution are against the Macron government suggests two options: either it is another manifestation of the conflict between the government and the Senate and its opponents in the Senate, or President Macron is trying to get the document to the Senate through his rivals. In any case, such initiatives do not bring success to the French parliament or government.
