Russian peacekeepers complete deployment in Karabakh

The Russian peacekeeping contingent has completed its deployment in Karabakh and has begun to fulfill the assigned tasks Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Friday at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the work of Russian peacekeepers in the region.

Peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation deployed in the amount of 1,960 military personnel with small arms, 90 armored personnel carriers, 380 units of automobile and special equipment accordint to  the trilateral agreement signed by  President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and President of the Russian Federation on Nov. 10.
