  Azerbaijan’s ANAMA wraps up demining op on Tartar-Sugovushan road

On 30 November - 02 December , 2020 ANAMA received 31 (thirty one) emergency calls from the ″102 ″ Service Call Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 3 (three) calls from the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations about shells falling on the territory of Agjabadi, Aghdam, Goranboy, Cabrayil, Fuzuli, Khocavand and Tartar regions.

As response action to the reported 34 emergency calls ANAMA in close coordination with the specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted 55 emergency and operational clearance field missions. As reported 303 pieces of unexploded ordnance, 17 pieces of 9N235 bomblets, 79 pieces of anti-tank mines, 12 pieces of anti-personnel mine, 29 pieces of anti-tank mine fuses, 3 274 pieces of bullets of various calibers, 504 gr of explosives and 112 exploded shell remnants were found as a result of mission.

Mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance operation alongside the road connecting Tartar  region  to  Sugovushan  village  has   been   completed   and   99   anti-tank   mines,   118 anti-personnel mines, 4 pieces of anti-tank mine explosive fuses, 7 unexploded ordnance (UXO) (total: 228 units) were found and neutralized.

ANAMA’s demolition team neutralized 55 pieces of mines and unexploded ordnances. Explosive Remnants Awareness Specialists conducted explosive remnants risk awareness campaign among 80 141 civilians.
