Azerbaijani serviceman Bayram Karimov, who is being held captive in Armenia, met representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, said his father Yashar Karimov, AzVision.az reports.
The ICRC told Yashar Karimov that they had visited his son and he had no health problems. They also delivered his father's and wife's letters to Bayram. However, Bayram did not write a letter to his family members, saying that he was excited to tell his parents and his wife that he was safe.
Note, Bayram Karimov was captured after being wounded in the battles for Shusha. He is married and has a newborn son.
Representatives of the ICRC visited people taken hostage as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh war since September 27. Amin Musayev, one of the Azerbaijani PoWs captured by Armenians during the Karabakh war, also sent a letter to his family.
Armenian Armed Forces launched a large-scale military attack on positions of Azerbaijani army on the front line, using large-caliber weapons, mortars and artillery on Sept. 27. Azerbaijan responded with a counter-offensive along the entire front.
On November 10, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia signed an agreement to end six weeks of fierce fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh.
