Covid: Azerbaijan to provide needy people with lump sum payment during lockdown

A lump-sum payment worth 190 manat ($111) will again be given in Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports citing the Operational Headquarters under the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers.

The special quarantine regime is being extended in the country till 06:00 (GMT+4) January 31, 2021. Taking into account that additional restrictions, introduced from 00:00 (GMT+4) December 14, 2020, through 00:00 (GMT+4) January 18, 2021, affect economic activity, approximately 600,000 needy people, registered during the previous tough quarantine regime, will again be provided with the lump sum payment worth 190 manat.

It is also planned to render assistance to entrepreneurs operating in the spheres affected as a result of the introduction of the quarantine regime in connection with coronavirus.
