Turkey-Azerbaijan ties will further be expanded, says Erdogan

The relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan will be further expanded and Turkey will play a major role in the reconstruction of the Nagorno-Karabakh, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while answering the journalists' questions on December 10.

"We made a historic visit to Azerbaijan. The Karabakh Victory is a turning point in the history of Turkish-Azerbaijani ties. "The phrase 'one nation, two states' is the basic philosophy of our solidarity with Azerbaijan.  This unity and equality were crowned for the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh. We stood by Azerbaijan during the 44-day struggle for Karabakh victory. I regularly spoke by phone with my brother Ilham Aliyev," Erdogan added.

Note, the Turkish President was on an official visit to Azerbaijan from December 9 until December 10 to attend the Victory Parade held in Baku on the occasion of the victory of Azerbaijan at the second Nagorno-Karabakh War. During the 44-day war, the Azerbaijan Army achieved to liberate its territories from the Armenian occupation and restore the territorial integrity.
