“As is known, one of the tasks arising from the trilateral statement, which was signed on 10 November 2020 by the Azerbaijani, Russian presidents and the Armenian prime minister, is to ensure the exchange of prisoners, hostages and dead bodies for humanitarian purposes. The parties first began to recover the bodies of the servicemen on the battlefield,” Samadov said.
He noted that this process is mediated by Russian peacekeeping forces and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
