  Azerbaijan raises fines for quarantine regime violators

A draft law on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offences was discussed at a plenary session of the Azerbaijani parliament on Friday, AzVision.az reports.

In accordance with the amendment, individuals will be fined from 200 manat to 400 manat for violation of the anti-epidemic, sanitary-hygienic and quarantine regimes, officials - from 4,000 manat to 10,000 manat, in some cases the punishment is envisaged in the form of administrative arrest for up to one year, while legal entities - from 5,000 manat to 11,000 manat.

Currently, individuals are fined from 200 manat to 400 manat, officials - from 3,000 manat to 4,000 manat, in some cases punishment is envisaged in the form of administrative arrest for up to one year while legal entities - from 4,000 manat to 10,000 manat.

The draft law was put to a vote and approved.
