The minister made the remarks Wednesday at a virtual meeting on the topic “Great Victory in the Patriotic War: A Look at the Future of Azerbaijan and the Region”, AzVision.az reports.
“As Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated, with the agreement reached, we have established a format of new security and new cooperation for today and the future,” Bayramov said.
The top diplomat stressed that Azerbaijan, first of all, put an end to the decades-long occupation of its territories and restored its territorial integrity.
Minister Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan’s determination to reintegrate its citizens of Armenian origin in its Nagorno-Karabakh region into the country’s social and economic space, ensuring, without discrimination, equal rights and freedoms of all citizens of Azerbaijan, regardless of their ethnic and religious affiliation.
He pointed out that the Constitution of Azerbaijan provides an appropriate legal basis from this point of view.
“Our views in connection with the further development, restoration and reconstruction of the region were openly expressed by the head of state, and statements regarding the creation of a new cooperation platform in the region were voiced. Such a framework of cooperation and collaboration can certainly be useful for all countries in the region. Collaborative frameworks can form multilateral cooperation platforms with the participation of states in the region,” the minister added.
