Dilgam Asgarov, who was released from Armenian captivity and brought to Azerbaijan is at home. Asgarov's son Kurdoglu Asgarov shared a photo with his father taken at home, Azvision.az reports.
Following the negotiations held in the presence of international organizations and the Command of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces, an agreement was reached with the Armenian side on the exchange of prisoners of war and hostages on the “all for all” principle, and this process began on December 14.
Note, in July 2014, during an operation carried out by Armenian special forces in the Shaplar village of the occupied Kalbajar district, Azerbaijani citizen Hasan Hasanov was killed, and Shahbaz Guliyev and Russian citizen Dilgam Asgarov were taken hostage. All of them intended to visit their native places and the graves of their relatives. A "criminal case" was initiated against Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilgam Asgarov. Then the so-called "court" sentenced Asgarov to life imprisonment, and Guliyev - to 22 years in prison.
