 12 houses in Shurnukh village returned to Azerbaijan

12 houses  together with the surrounding land  of Shurnukh village in Syunik region (historically called Zangazur) comes under control of Azerbaijan, Menua Hovsepyan, Deputy Head of the Gorus Community said, AzVision.az reports.

As a result of demarcation, these houses with the surrounding land were returned to Azerbaijan, Hovsepyan noted.

Hakob Arshakyan, head of the village community said that residents are currently collecting their last belongings. The Azerbaijani side has already set up a post at the entrance to the village.

"Today we met with the villagers, Armenian border guards and several Russian peacekeepers also attended to the meeting. We told the villagers not to cross the border and be as careful as possible. At the same time, the exact border between the Armenian and Azerbaijani parts of Shurnukh has not been established."
