An Azerbaijani civilian and a serviceman were released from Armenian captivity and brought home on December 28, 2020, Ismayil Akhundov, head of the working group of the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, said on Tuesday, AzVision.az reports.
Akhundov noted that as many as 872 people were taken hostage and captured by Armenia in 1992-1993.
“Azerbaijan has repeatedly appealed to Armenia through international organizations. But Armenia has always ignored this fact,” he added.
