Russian peacekeepers constantly monitor the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, AzVision.az reports citing the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
"Russian peacekeepers carry out around-the-clock monitoring of the situation and control over the observance of the ceasefire regime. The ceasefire is observed along the entire line of contact," the ministry said.
Observation posts are equipped with "Checkpoint" fortifications, designed to protect servicemen from small arms and shrapnel, as well as to conduct all-round observation of the surrounding area.
In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, a complete cease-fire and all military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh were declared from 00: 00 Moscow time on November 10 this year.
