 Azerbaijani and Pakistani FMs hold negotiations

The delegations led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi held negotiations on the bilateral relations, AzVision.az reports citing the press service of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.

Pakistani FM highlighted the fraternal relations between the two countries based on similar religious and cultural values.

Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi congratulated the state and people of Azerbaijan on the liberation of the territories from the Armenian occupation. He added that Pakistan's position on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan remains unchanged.

He also expressed a desire to expand economic ties with Azerbaijan.

During the negotiations, the sides discussed the various aspects of expanding cooperation in the field of economy, trade and defense between the two countries, including education, culture and technology.

Both FMs stressed the importance of increasing economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector.
