 60 Turkish military to serve at monitoring center in Karabakh - Cavusoglu

A site for the Russia-Turkey Joint Monitoring Center has been identified and construction has begun, said the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, AzVision.az reports.

The minister said the center will be located in Aghdam, 8 kilometers from the contact line.

"Initially, 60 Turkish and 60 Russian military will supervise the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Turkish military has already started to depart for Azerbaijan. It will act only as a center," Cavusoglu said.

Bilateral talks will be held with Azerbaijan in the future if necessary. In addition, we intend to sign an agreement with Russia on the status of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh, minister stressed.
