  Russian peacekeepers clear 530 hectares of lands of mines in Karabakh

Russian peacekeepers cleared more than 530  hectares of land of mines in the Nagorno-Karabakh region since November 23, says the Russian Defense Ministry.

Since November 23, 2020, during the mine clearance operations, the Russian peacekeeping forces cleared 201.3 km of roads, 751 housing buildings, including 25 socially significant objects, and neutralized  23,530 explosive objects.

Detected explosives and unexploded ordnance are destroyed in a specially equipped landfill. Ammunition that cannot be evacuated is neutralized on the spot.
