Azerbaijan sets up Agency for Development of Economic Zones

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on measures to improve the management of industrial parks, industrial districts and agro-parks.

Under the decree, the “Agency for Development of Economic Zones” public legal entity on the basis of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park LLC and under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan was established.

According to the decree, a 7-member Supervisory Board shall be set up to exercise general management and control over the Agency’s activities.
