Ara Ayvazyan, who was appointed as the Armenian Foreign Minister in November, 2020, has already dissatisfied the government, AzVision.az reports citing the Armenian media.

The Armenian media reported that the government wants to send him to resign, or he will write a petition.

"Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan was dissatisfied with Ayvazyan's statement on Turkey in Moscow. After the minister's return, they had a tough conversation. Pashinyan criticized Ayvazyan," the media said.

On December 7, Ayvazyan and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov held a joint press conference following the talks in Moscow.

Answering a question on the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations, Ayvazyan recalled the events of 1915, the so-called "Armenian genocide", stated that Turkey has continued its "aggressive" policy against Armenia, and stressed that Ankara played a very negative role in the Karabakh war. His biased statement on Turkey was also criticized by the Armenian authorities.
