  Azerbaijan takes control of some villages of Zangazur

Azerbaijan took control of some areas in the direction of Khinzirak village of Zangazur, said the head of the village community, Yervand Malunts, confirming the news spread in the Armenian media, AzVision.az reports.

Malunts stated that on February 4, the Armenian Armed Forces withdrew from some positions, and those territories were handed over to Azerbaijan.

He also noted that there are only a few hundred meters between the houses in the village and the positions of the Azerbaijani military units.

Note that, Khinzirak village borders with Gubadli region of Azerbaijan. Earlier, during the demarcation of the border, part of the village of Shurnukh came under the control of Azerbaijan. According to Soviet-era maps, part of the village was part of Azerbaijan.
