Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi described the OIC’s latest political statement on the Jammu and Kashmir issue as an important step towards preventing human rights violations in this region and achieving a peaceful solution to the problem, AzVision.az reports.
In his video message at a meeting of ambassadors of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir, Qureshi called on India to fulfill the implementations of the UN fact-finding mission and the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission.
The minister also hailed the support of Islamic countries for a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
In conclusion, the Pakistani minister thanked the OIC Contact Group members – Azerbaijan, Niger, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, for their support in resolving the Jammu and Kashmir problem.
