  UK is ready to support Azerbaijan

It is great to see how the UK has contributed to a modern and dynamic Azerbaijan, said the British Minister for the European Neighbourhood and the Americas Wendy Morton, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, AzVision.az reports.

British Minister Wendy Morton highlighted her visit to the Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by famous British architect Zaha Hadid. Wendy Morton also expressed her pleasure over the use of the famous London electric taxis in Baku which are helping to reduce carbon emissions.

In addition, Wendy Morton noted that she met Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to promote the projects based on renewable energy and green technologies, to discuss cooperation between the countries after COVID-19 and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

"Before the UK's global climate change summit to be held on November, there are ample opportunities for our countries to work together to tackle climate change. The United Kingdom is ready to support Azerbaijan's transition to renewable energy and its ambitious climate targets of further reduction of carbon emissions by 2030”, she added.
