The UK is proud to be involved in the global fight against coronavirus, British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp wrote on Twitter, Azvision.az reports.
The diplomat noted that the distribution of the vaccine through COVAX, developed by the University of Oxford in cooperation with AstraZeneca, has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
"It is a promising step to ensure fair access to vaccines," the diplomat said.
