Istanbul will host the 15th International Defence Industry Exhibition (IDEF-2021), which is one of the world's largest platforms for the demonstration of military-industrial complex novelties.
The 15th IDEF will be held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and under the management and responsibility of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation between May 25-28. The four-day event will be hosted by te Turkish Ministry of National Defence.
Signing ceremonies for many international and national projects are held annually as part of the exhibition.
More than 100 agreements are planned to be signed this year, which will turn IDEF-2021 into a "trading base for the global defence industry."
In 2019, 151 delegations from 70 countries of the world and three international organizations took part in the exhibition. The delegations included 588 high-ranking guests.
Invitations to participate in IDEF-2021 352 high-ranking guests and 341 delegations from 148 countries have already been sent out by authorized structures.
In particular, the arrival of delegations from the USA, Afghanistan, Germany, Albania, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Algeria, China, Ecuador, Indonesia, Philippines, France, South Africa, India is expected, The Netherlands, Iraq, Great Britain, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Canada, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Colombia, South Korea, Kuwait, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Libya, Hungary, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Oman, Vietnam and Greece.
Invitations will continue to be sent to delegations on a reciprocal basis.
