Turkey strongly condemns the events in Armenia, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a press conference in Hungary, Azvision.az reports.
"Turkey is against coups and coup attempts anywhere in the world. In a democracy, nations can demand resignation and it is natural. However, the military's call to overthrow and resign an elected government is unacceptable. We strongly condemn this call. New opportunity has emerged for the development of the region. It must be assessed."
Note, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan warned of an attempted military coup against him on Thursday after the army demanded he and his government resign in a statement.
