National Geographic shares photo of Khudaferin Bridge

National Geographic has shared on its Instagram page a photo of the Khudaferin Bridge, located in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district, which was liberated from the Armenian occupation during the 44-day Patriotic War.

“The historic Khudaferin Bridge dates to the 12th century and connects the banks of the Araz River, along the border between Azerbaijan and Iran,” National Geographic wrote.

It noted that Jabrayil is one of seven Azerbaijani districts surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, which was occupied by Armenian forces for over two decades and recently liberated by Azerbaijan.

In its post, National Geographic also provided information about the history of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It stressed that as a result of last year’s war, Azerbaijan regained most of its territories lost in the 90s.
