Kazakhstan's Turkestan hosts summit of Turkic Council

An informal summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) will be held in Turkestan, Kazakhstan on March 31 on the initiative of the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - President Nursultan Nazarbayev, AzVision.az reports citing the Kazakh Embassy in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the heads of all CSTO member states and the Prime Minister of Hungary, who is an observer in the organization, confirmed his participation in the forum.

At the end of the summit, a declaration is expected to be signed declaring Turkestan the spiritual capital of the Turkic world.
