  Citizens may visit Turkey with ID card starting from April 1 - Vusal Huseynov

"Starting from April 1, Azerbaijani and Turkish citizens will be able to visit both countries with biometric ID cards and stay for 90 days. In this case, border crossing documents belonging to citizens of both countries - identity card or passport must be valid for at least 30 days from the date of entry into the country," Chief of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov wrote on Facebook. 

"It is compulsory to use passports to enter the third (other) countries and the territories of Azerbaijan and Turkey from third (other) countries. 

Citizens wishing to stay in the territory of one side for more than 90 days for any reason must apply for a residence permit with a passport valid for at least 60 days longer than the required period. Currently, this period is 90 days. ID card is not considered to apply for a residence permit," Huseynov also stated.
