I am very glad for the development of relations between our countries, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a one-on-one meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, AzVision.az reports.
"We have adopted such a dynamism in our relations which led to progress in all directions and a practical solution of the issues we have agreed on", Ilham Aliyev noted.
"Our mutual visits show that there are close political relations and a high level of trust between Azerbaijan and Belarus. Therefore, we achieved good results in the framework of economic cooperation. Despite the pandemic, our trade turnover has increased, and exports from Azerbaijan to Belarus have also increased. Hence, today we will discuss the issues related to industrial cooperation in more detail", Aliyev stated.
President Aliyev also expressed his interest to discuss the issues related to the restoration of the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
"We are aware of the experience of Belarusian companies in establishing agro-industrial facilities in your country. Therefore, this issue, of course, is particularly significant in terms of the restoration of the liberated territories", Aliyev added.
