  Azerbaijan to provide financial aid to WW2 participants

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed an order Thursday on the provision of lump-sum financial aid to participants of the Second World War (1941-1945), widows of fighters, who died in the Second World War or later and persons, who were awarded orders and medals for selfless work in the rear.

According to the order, the participants of the Second World War (1941-1945) will be given lump-sum financial aid in the amount of AZN 1,500.

Lump-sum financial aid in the amount of AZN 750 will be provided to widows of fighters, who died in the Second World War or later, persons awarded orders and medals for selfless work in the rear during that period, employees of the special units, who fulfilled tasks for the army and fleet in the years of the Second World War, as well as the persons, who were awarded medals for the protection of the city of Leningrad in the years of the Second World War, as well as participants of Leningrad blockade.
