The bags were scattered in the basement of a forensic medical examination center. The photos sparked serious protests in Armenia.
Relatives of the missing Armenian servicemen on Thursday entered the basement where the photos were taken to make a video, AzVision.az reports.
“This is a shameful fact. Relatives of the missing servicemen entered the basement of the Abovyan branch of the Forensic Medical Examination Center, where the bodies of dead soldiers have been hidden for several months,” Armenian media wrote.
Yesterday, Armenia’s Acting Healthcare Minister Anait Avanesyan apologized to the relatives of the dead servicemen for improper storage of bodies and remains at the Abovyan branch of the Forensic Medical Examination Center.
