Six more Azerbaijani war veterans return home after receiving treatment in Turkey

Six more Azerbaijani servicemen, severely wounded during the 44-day Patriotic War, have returned home after receiving treatment in Turkey, the YASHAT Foundation told AzVision.az.

The treatment of war veterans Shahmar Guliyev, Khayyam Aliyev, Shahriyar Guliyev, Sabuhi Eyvazov, Seymur Mammadov and Ulvi Huseynov is already over.

The YASHAT Foundation will also provide medicines necessary for their treatment in the coming months.

As many as 62 wounded Azerbaijani servicemen are currently undergoing treatment in Turkey.

On 8 December 2020, President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the establishment of the YASHAT Foundation in order to support the war-wounded and families of martyrs who protected the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Under the presidential order, the funds of the Foundation are formed through voluntary financial assistance (donations) provided by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijanis living abroad, other individuals and legal entities, as well as other sources not prohibited by law.
