As part of their trip to Azerbaijan’s liberated Aghdam district on Sunday, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country visited the area where a Highland Park will be established and the Shahbulag Fortress.

The foreign diplomats were briefed that an open-air theater will be built in that area.

They were also informed that the Shahbulag Fortress is one of the most famous monuments in Karabakh.

The Shahbulag Fortress was built near the city of Aghdam in 1750-1752 at the request of Karabakh khan Panah-Ali Khan. After the occupation of Aghdam district by the Armenian armed forces, Shahbulag Fortress became the most Armenianized one of Azerbaijani monuments.

The foreign diplomat then visited the Giyasli Mosque. They were informed about the mosque’s history and acts of barbarism committed by Armenians against this religious site.
