US allocates $1M to Azerbaijan to fight COVID-19

US allocates $1M to Azerbaijan to fight COVID-19

The US government has allocated $1 million to Azerbaijan to fight COVID-19, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Earle Litzenberger told reporters.

The ambassador said that the allocated funds will be provided to Azerbaijan through the WHO and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

"Including this additional funding, the United States has already allocated $ 6.6 million to support Azerbaijan's measures for the immediate and long-term health and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic," Ambassador said.
