Yet another reason for Azerbaijan's success in combating the pandemic is the country's citizens.

During his visit to Azerbaijan, the Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement of the European Union, Oliver Varhelyi stated that Azerbaijan is one of the countries least affected by the coronavirus due to overcoming the crisis with limited impact. The main reason why the EU Commissioner came to this conclusion lies in the proper measures undertaken by the Azerbaijani government during the pandemic. While protecting economic activity was a top priority for governments when pandemics were rampant in many countries, protecting the health of our citizens was at the forefront of decisions made in Azerbaijan.

Although this process was expected to have a large-scale negative impact on the country's economy, the government's financial assistance to citizens and entrepreneurs has helped to minimize losses. At the same time, the fact that Azerbaijan has sufficient vaccine stocks, not only in comparison with the countries of the region, but also in comparison with most countries in the world, has led to the implementation of mass vaccinations.

Yet another reason for Azerbaijan's success in combating the pandemic is its citizens. Due to the fact that it is essential that society adheres to the adopted decisions as well as realizes that the pandemic is a common problem for the country.
